The Space Floating Subsystem, Intermediate eXperimental Vehicle is a European Space Agency project intended to validate European reusable launchers. The system could become part of the Future Launchers Preparatory Programme.

The “Re-entry Phase” is accomplished in a nose-high attitude like the Space Shuttle, with maneuvering achieved by rolling out-of-plane and then lifting in that direction, like an aircraft.

The “Landing Phase” is accomplished by parachutes ejected through the top of the vehicle.
